It’s time for another installment of Sh*t My Students Write!
Last week I had my students write acrostic poems (choose a word and write it vertically, then write a word or sentence horizontally for each letter). Despite the fact that most of my students can barely string a sentence together, they came up with some pretty bizarre and occasionally hilarious poems. Here’s just a sampling, although I’ve got hundreds more to sift through still, so I’m sure there are more gems to come. In the mean time, here’s a window into the twisted minds of my middle school Korean students!
Dog Poop and Illegal Vacation Activities
The Story of My Life (dating crazy people and wearing pink pants)
Beer and soju always make for a rough day
What I Try To Tell Myself Every Day
Sometimes my friends are funny and smart and ugly and stupid, too
Don’t Murder, Just Exercise!

Lol…that’s hilarious! I love your captions and also love what they say. Onion feet smelling certainly is criminal…people should be jailed for that! 😛
Haha thanks! You’re right, it should be an offense punishable by law! 😉
Haha these are hilarious. Kids say the funniest things!
Haha they do! Sometimes they say the strangest things in class and I have to take a moment and just laugh hysterically while the kids look at me like I’m loony!
Those are some very interesting poems. Thought provoking at times. Thanks for sharing them.

Haha yes it certainly makes you wonder what could possibly be running through their heads! 😉
